FAQs

     Live Video Feed

The major project to replace the clubs pontoons which has been over two years in the planning has started and is scheduled to take until the end of March 2016 to complete.

The main contractor Walcon Marine Ltd will take over the site on 4th January 2016 and will remove the gangway and remaining wooden piles, this will allow access for the dredging operation which it is envisaged will take up to 10 days to complete, weather permitting.

Walcon will then commence piling and installation of the new bridgehead to which the gangway will be fitted too, before bringing in the new pontoons by barge towards the end of January.

The pontoons will be installed through February and finally the gangway and new mast derrick will be craned into position to complete the construction phase.

We then commence the installation of the utilities which includes new power and water feeds, new pedestals, LED lighting and data cabling for Wifi access and CCTV, we expect the contractors to hand back the site to the club towards the end of March 2016.

The entire work site will be off limits to members for this period, but you will be able to monitor progress via a camera located on the upper balcony, which is accessible 24/7 from this page, and we will provide a detailed schedule of works if you wish to follow aspects of the project from the live video feed.
