Club PaddleBoards

The Club owns 4 NEW PaddleBoards which are available for Members to hire. Please see below for the full list.

To book Club PaddleBoards please click below. A contract which must be completed and submitted to Reception or via email sail@rlymyc.org.uk for each calendar year. For hire costs, please refer to the contract.

PaddleBoards are charged at £15 each for every 2hrs.
The Club PaddleBoards are as follows:

  • PaddleBoard 3 (Fanatic)
  • PaddleBoard 4 (Starboard)

    Please take the following regulations into consideration when booking a Club PaddleBoard.

    • All users must wear a suitable personal flotation device.
    • All users should wear suitable clothing to prevent hypothermia and sunstroke in view of the likely conditions. This will often include a wetsuit and hat.
    • Suitable foot-ware should be worn ashore.
    • Boards should be carried with the fin visible to the carrier when walking forwards.
    • Unless users are under instruction, the Club will require users to sign to say they are comfortable to paddle forwards, backwards, change direction and get back on their board if they fall off.
    • Users shall ensure that they are aware of the likely weather conditions and the tide and have the ability to manage the paddleboat in the likely conditions.
    • Users shall keep out of the main channel other than when crossing it at right angles when there are no other river users in the vicinity.
    • Users shall keep at least 2 meters away from any other river user, pontoons or boats.
    • Users shall keep out of the channel when the ferry is moving and ensure that any wash will not cause them to fall off their board.
    • Users shall not take their board South of the Club platform unless they are accompanied by a manned craft.
