Social Programme for Junior Regatta 2019

Welcome Party BBQ - Everyone is invited - competitors, friends, family and ALL VOLUNTEERS. Monday 5th August 6.30pm – 8.45pm at ‘Mortimer Woodham’ Snooks Lane, Lymington, SO41 5SF, by the kind permission of Rupert and Victoria Ling. It is always a fun evening for everyone - come and meet new people and catch up with old friends. The welcome party is a chance for everyone to relax and enjoy the delights of  the garden and its surroundings with no cooking or washing up required.

As well as the BBQ (tickets £8.00) there will be games and a treasure hunt plus fun competitions between the Fleets and lots of prizes. We will be running a social media competition with a Regatta Selfie Booth, a first time Mocktail bar for youngsters to create their own drinks and if there are muscles to spare, a tug-o-war. Parents may bring their own wine and glasses – we do always have the odd bottle of wine just in case anyone forgets it is BYOB. Directions: Head for the ferry terminal or Elmers Court, Snooks Lane is on the left usually with a seafood sign. Turn immediately Left into Mortimer Woodham and Parking is available along the lefthand side of the drive.

After sailing pasta - The RLymYC will have pasta tubs available for all hungry sailors coming off the water after racing. The Pasta table will be set up by the slipway so competitors can eat whilst putting away their boats.

Prize Giving Tea – Friday 9th August - Tea will be 3.30pm followed by the end of regatta prize giving at 4.00pm.    All competitors are asked to bring cakes on Friday morning to the regatta office.

Helper’s Supper – Friday 9th August 7.00pm -  Unwind at the Club with a three course dinner and wine with good friends and new friends, laugh at all that went wrong, the fun all the children had, decide the passage race is a must for 2020 and raise a glass to the fact that it is over for yet another year.
