There will be a multitude of activities and fun for all ages - both out on the water and ashore. Plus live music, delicious food, plenty to drink and fun games on the Bath Road green - including the Centenary Haybale Games! Whatever your age, sailing prowess, obstacle course agility or spectating ability, this memorable event is not to be missed! And we are delighted that our Patron, HRH The Princess Royal, will be joining our Centenary Regatta Day celebrations. Tickets to the Après Sail Festival cost just £15 for adults and £6 for children. This includes your festival wristband, programme, live music, ashore games, a hot drink and cake from the Slipway Marquee on your return to shore and tickets that can be exchanged for food from a variety of different stalls during the event. There will be live music throughout the afternoon with JG and the Ultimates and Carnaby Army.
After an anchor meet and picnic, the Cruising Division and Motorboat Division will anchor dressed overall and prepare for review by HRH The Princess Royal. From here you can put your feet up and watch the racing!
On your return to shore there will be food, drinks and entertainment both at the clubhouse and on the Bath Road green. All members are welcome to join our 'Après Sail Festival.' Tickets cost £15 for adults and £6 for children, which include drinks and cakes on return to shore, a commemorative programme and tokens for food from a number of different Street Foods. There will be fun and games on the green, live music, bars and food stalls around the Club.
After a fabulous day on the water, all members, their families, friends and participating crew are invited to join our "Après Sail Festival. Tickets cost £15 for adults and £6 for children.
There will be limited access to the Club's pontoon from Friday morning. Please speak to the boatmen if you would like access. On Saturday, the boatmen will be operating a ferry service between 11:00 and 13:00. This is likely to be busy, so we encourage you to depart for your boats sooner rather than later!
On the day, collect your Festival tickets, wristbands and programmes from the Slipway Marquee, on the south side of the clubhouse between 08:00 and 12:00.
Over on the green, the Lymington RNLI will have an Atlantic 85 lifeboat on display and will be holding a Lifejacket Clinic from 09:30. There will also be tours of the lifeboat station during the day.
Food and drink will be available throughout the event.
On Saturday the Club will open from 08:00 until 00:00. Breakfast will be available to eat in or takeaway until 12:00. Regatta food will be available in the clubhouse (eat in or takeaway) from 12:00 until 21:00 (Please note that the restaurant will not be operating a normal lunch or dinner service). Your Festival ticket includes a food ticket. Additional food and snacks can be purchased, payable by bank payment card. All drinks will be payable by bank payment card (and Club membership card at the Club Bar and Pontoon Bar).
Enjoy live music sets from JG and the Ultimates and Carnaby Army on the balcony until 21:00. We are delighted to be welcoming HRH The Princess Royal during the Regatta Day.
An official professional photographer will be present to take pictures of the day, which will be available after the event on the Club website. Please do not take your own pictures. We are publishing our own press releases about the event so please refrain from speaking to media or posting anything on social media, before and during the event. Any press enquiries should be directed to pr@rlymyc.org.uk.
Throughout the event our Regatta Hub will be open in the Slipway Lounge. Centenary merchandise will be on sale here, you'll also find a Cake Stall and our Pontoon Bar. Visit the Hub with any race queries, for event information, first aid and lost and found (people or items!). Centenary merchandise on sale will include: mugs, ties, cravats and baseball caps. Large Centenary Cruising Pennants will be on offer at £15.50 and we hope to have a stock of our NEW Limited Edition RLymYC Centenary Wessex Gin.
