On Monday evenings it is the dinghies’ turn, from little Optimists through to the fast whizzy trapeze boats. On Thursday evenings, the keelboats: X boats, Folkboats, sports boats, Cruisers and racing keelboats battle it out in Class, IRC or Lymington Handicap races. All race in the Solent but are sure to be back in time for a drink in the bar, supper and to swap ‘he tacked: they tacked’ stories.
During the year there are regattas for dinghies and keelboats (three days of racing with covetable trophies to be won). At the beginning of October the Pottership race takes place. This is open to Member owned keelboats of any description and they all start on the line together. A sight not to be missed! The Club hosts a number of Class and specialist regattas each year.
Race your own boat or crew with somebody else. For skippers seeking crew, potential crew seeking a place on a boat, look at the Crew Available and Wanted Registers.
