Royal Lymington Yacht Club's stunning riverside location offers year-round water activities, training, and socialising for all ages. As an RYA Training Centre, we provide a range of opportunities in sailing and powerboating, alongside an active fleet racing programme, regular events, and cruising. Whether you're here to race, learn, or simply enjoy the Club’s relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, there’s something for everyone.

Becoming a Full Member of the Royal Lymington Yacht Club opens the door to an array of exciting opportunities:

  • Family-Friendly Benefits: Families are at the heart of our community. Our family subscription offers great value: When two adults from the same household join, all children under 18 can join for free. When one adult joins, the first child under 18 is payable—any additional children go free
  • Supportive Community: To join as a Full Member, you’ll need the support of two members (with at least two years of membership) who know you personally.

Provisional Membership

Provisional Membership is ideal for those who are new to the Club or looking to gain more experience on the water. It’s available for up to one year, giving you the chance to get involved, enjoy time afloat, and connect with fellow members.

During this time, you’ll have full use of the Club’s facilities and a warm welcome into the community. While Provisional Members don’t yet have voting rights, you’ll be well placed to take an active role in Club life once you transfer to Full Membership.

It’s a great first step into everything the Club has to offer.

When considering your application, please note that members aged 18 or over may invite up to four guests at a time, including non-member spouses, partners, or family members. The same guest may visit the Club a maximum of six times per Club year (1st April – 31st March), regardless of who invites them.

JUNIOR MEMBERSHIP

We welcome applications for Junior Membership from children aged 8 to 17.

Any Junior Member participating in Club activities who does not have a parent or legal guardian who is a Club Member will require a designated in loco parentis representative.

Parents wishing to get involved with their child's activities will need to become Club Members. For non-boating parents, the Club provides support and learning opportunities, so everyone can enjoy the Club experience.

Junior Members also enjoy access to discounted coaching in the Junior and Youth Fleets, with further discounts available to those whose families hold Club membership. Dinghy hire is available for a small additional cost, subject to availability.

As a RYA Training Centre, the Club offers children opportunities from their first Stage 1 course through to advanced racing or even becoming Assistant Instructors. For those looking for an alternative to racing, the RIB Club and Mariners programs offer fantastic non-competitive options.
