Scow Walks

Scows Walks take place on Thursday mornings over the winter, from the time the Potters stop in the Autumn until they start again in April.

Scow Walks will start again Thursday 1 November 2018.

Walks are led by a different volunteer each week so start points and routes vary.  Walks are mostly of one and a half to two hours’ duration. Usually we gather in time for a 1030 departure and finish at about 1230 in time for a pub lunch.  Leaders are asked to give a good description of their walk so that members can decide whether the walk is suitable for them.  Once a month we meet at the RLymYC for a sea wall walk.

Over the winter of 2017/2018 we experimented with a ‘Strollers’ group for those who wished to take part but cover a shorter distance than the ‘Striders’.   The current plan is to aim for two ‘Strollers’ walks per month.  We would appreciate your feedback and ideas on this initiative.

  • Our Walk Coordinator is: Frances Evans
  • Scow Division members can request an e-mail notification of each walk.
  • Details of walks are also posted on the Scow Division Notice Board each week
