Volunteers

The Club’s diverse programme of sailing events, committees and assistance programmes create a wide range of volunteer opportunities available to all Club Members. Join our Sailing Event Teams and meet new friends on the water.

Volunteering is a great way to get involved in Club life; join our "Sailing Event Teams" and build on experience and see some exciting events from the water, or join a group of Members helping the Club in other ways. There are various roles available to all volunteers, ranging from shore helpers to RIB Drivers or work on House and sub-committees and providing the beautiful arrangements of flowers displayed in the Clubhouse.

Sailing Event Teams

There are many duties associated with running events. Whether you are relatively in-experienced or fully qualified, we would very much like to hear from you.

To view full desciptions of the available roles and duties, please click here.  All of these duties are available for many of the coming events. If you would like any more information on any of the roles, or the training available please do not hesitate to contact me.

NB. Getting on to the platform can be quite physically challenging, especially at low tide, if you think that you may find this difficult please check with one of the Senior Boatmen before signing up for Race Team duties.

We have volunteers who assist in some aspects of our IT and website management and in maintaining and operating our audio / visual systems.

The Club's archives are maintained by a volunteer.

Our printed and electronic publications are edited and published by volunteer members.

Our overall management committee - the General Committee contains volunteer members.
