Ashore

An extensive social programme and first class cuisine with fantastic views in our bar and restaurant.

Ashore at Royal Lymington Yacht Club

A welcoming social programme, spectacular location and excellent affordable bar and restaurant.

The Royal Lymington Yacht Club is as well known for its onshore activities as it is afloat. During the sailing season, each section socialises regularly after sailing events and our bar, restaurant and balconies are buzzing with activity.

Our busy clubhouse is the heart of our extensive social programme. The clubhouse is open almost every day of the year. On the first floor you’ll find our all-important bar and restaurant, providing impressive views of the Lymington River and Solent shore.

For our members the clubhouse is a home from home. Members are welcome throughout the week, whether simply to read the paper with a coffee, to catch up with friends over a delicious meal, to participate in our extensive range of clubs and activities or to enjoy a sundowner on the balcony after a day on the water.

Throughout the winter season the club is alive with a host of different events, with many opportunities for avid sailors to get together. As well as our traditional annual events, activities include our winter lecture series, film nights and quiz nights. In addition, many of our sailing sections host talks and suppers, ensuring many opportunities for conviviality and learning.

Our Island Room, Needles Room and Solent Room are available for exclusive private hire. We will work with you to create a bespoke menu to suit your occasion, alternatively there is a range of set menus for any level of function.

The elves then marshal the small children in to see Father Christmas. A separate chair is provided for the children and their parents are encouraged to accompany them, although not essential. After being assured that they have been “good children all year” a Christmas present is offered and happy children go skipping out of the grotto to show mummy and daddy what a lovely present they have received this year.

Following the grotto, enjoy mulled wine and mince pies, and then sing some Christmas Carols along with our Choir to get us all in the mood for the festive season.
