New Face on the Floor...
We would also like to introduce Jim Jardine, our new Front of House Manager, who will be helping us deliver a reinvigorated programme for this season. Jim has a background working in Yacht Clubs & members' clubs, and prior to this Jim worked with HM's Royal Navy.
About the Recent Changes...
As per the CEO's recent email we would like to re-iterate the service hour changes on Monday & Tuesday and to clarify the food & beverage offerings on those days, please see the, (hopefully) helpful table below.
While we will not be running the usual kitchen service on Mondays & Tuesdays, this will allow us to dedicate time & resources, both human and administrative, to improving service on all our other days, Wednesday to Sunday.
We are meeting with event organisers to reschedule and/or redevelop the events that now fall outside of these service times, to ensure no member is left behind!
Food & Beverage Schedule
- Monday: Quiche, Sausage Rolls, Club Salads. No Main Menu or Chefs. Service from 10:00 to 17:00. We will spend November adjusting the deli menu for provision by the Front of House Team.
- Tuesday: Soup, Quiche, Sausage Rolls, Club Salads. No Main Menu or Chefs. Service from 10:00 to 17:00.
- Wednesday: Lunch from 12:00 to 15:00, Dinner from 18:00 to 21:00. Beverage service from 10:00 to 22:30. Friday Restaurant Night Specials throughout the Winter season (October to March).
- Thursday: Service from 10:00 to 22:30.
- Friday: Service from 10:00 to 23:00.
- Saturday: Breakfast from 10:00 to 11:30, Lunch from 12:00 to 15:00, Dinner from 18:00 to 21:00. Beverage service from 10:00 to 00:00.
- Sunday: Breakfast from 10:00 to 11:30, Lunch from 12:00 to 15:00. Service from 10:00 to 17:00. Sunday Carvery from the Serving Decks from 12:00 to 15:00.

Service Charge 🫡
- To align with the modern hospitality sector, we've introduced a completely discretionary 10% service charge on all Restaurant Bookings
- This is divided between all the kitchen and Front of House team, never between management
- Hospitality staff under River Room do not receive the 'End of Year' bonus, so there's no 'double-charging' 🙂
