Cape 31 National Championships

8 - 11 June 2023

The Royal Lymington Yacht Club is proud to have been asked to host the Cape 31 2023 Nationals.

The regatta will take place from Thursday 8th June to Sunday 11th June but you may see activity around the Club from as early as Tuesday.

The fleet will be taking part in some North Sails training on Thursday, followed by racing headed up by Club Member Peter Saxton on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Christchurch Bay or the Solent depending on the weather.

The Cape 31 is a 38 foot long boat capable of well over 20 knots, down wind in the right conditions. This exciting fleet is 26 boat strong consisting of six nationalities. They will be moored on Dan Bran pontoon, two abreast with their support RIBs on the outside. The boats have seven crew which will mean we have a very busy Clubhouse over the weekend. Please bear with us, but this is a very prestigious event which reflects very well on competitive sailors of the Royal Lymington Yacht Club abilities.

Their event program is as follows:
