Learn to sail and improve your boating skills at our RYA Training Centre
Considering taking up sailing? Sailing is an invigorating sport that offers many rewards, not least is that it is simply so much fun. Sailing is terrific exercise, yet can also be an incredibly relaxing pastime as well. Some would say that sailing is more than a sport—it’s a lifestyle.
Sailing is also a great way to enjoy the outdoors. When you learn how to sail, you’ll become familiar with all aspects of your boat and also how your boat relates to its environment in terms of everything from the wind to the weather. Learning how to sail can foster such a sense of accomplishment.
Sailing will teach you the essential skills that are required to be successful in life: patience, decision making, leadership, team building, communicating effectively and having a learning mindset, being resourceful, persistent, having a vision, finding inner peace and enjoying life.
Royal Lymington Yacht Club is an RYA Training Centre for adults and children, with discounted rates for members. This summer the Club has a number of sailing courses on offer for beginners and improvers.

The Club is also running 6-week dinghy sailing courses for ladies only, a popular choice for beginners and those hoping to get back into sailing in a fun and pressure-free environment. The courses run on Tuesday mornings or afternoons for two and a half hour sessions, starting either 7th June or 13th September. Book here.
