Our speaker and guest of honour this year is Captain Alison Towler RN.
Alison brings a remarkable story of leadership and resilience: She joined the Women's Royal Navy in 1987 after graduating from University College, Cardiff and embarked on her 30-year Naval career.
In 1992 she joined HMS Active as the sole female member of the ship's company and was called to the bar in 1995.
Alison retired in 2017 as the Royal Navy's Senior Prosecutor in the Service Prosecuting Authority at RAF Northholt and is now Chair of Lymington Harbour Commissioners
