Last Saturday's charity dinner was a resounding success, made even more special by the beautiful weather that transformed the already idyllic Solent Room at the Club into a truly magical setting.
Fifty-one guests gathered for a fabulous evening filled with delicious food and uplifting community spirit. I'm thrilled to share that the event raised an incredible £3,505 for both the Blue Marine Foundation and for Sailor's Society!
This achievement was only possible thanks to the overwhelming generosity of so many. Heartfelt thanks go to the wonderful independent shops on Lymington High Street for their raffle donations, friends who contributed unique experiences for the silent auction, and of course, to everyone who donated - both those who attended and those who supported from afar.
Today (Sunday 13th April) I am taking to the streets for the first of my two marathons - the Paris Marathon - in support of the Blue Marine Foundation. Any last minute donations would be hugely appreciated, however in any case, please keep me in your thoughts!
