Dinghy Racing in Lymington

Royal Lymington Yacht Club welcomes dinghy sailors of all ages. We organise active and competitive dinghy racing for all classes under Portsmouth Yardstick (PY) handicaps and big one-design fleets, including Lymington River Scows, Optimists, RS Teras, Lasers, RS Aeros, RS Fevas, 420s and 29ers.

The club has two dinghy parks and hoses for washing boats down after sailing; applications for a dinghy park permit can be made through the club office. We have a number of dinghies available for hire to members.

Launching can be done at any state of the tide. Note that Lymington Harbour Commissioners (LHC) charge a fee for launching; an annual permit is available from LHC or through the club office with a dinghy park permit.
