Coronavirus guidelines at RLymYC
The Royal Lymington Yacht Club is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our members and staff. We are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and keeping up to date with all government procedures.
We want all our members and visitors to feel safe when attending the Club and we kindly ask members and guests to adhere to the current
Government Guidelines and Club advice during their visit.
- Members are encouraged to take a lateral flow test on the day of your visit.
- Do not attend the Club if you have any symptoms of Covid-19.
- Sanitise your hands on entering and on leaving the Club.
- Follow government advice relating to the wearing of facemasks:
For the comfort of our members
- The Club has been reconfigured and adapted to allow for social distancing between tables.
- Screens have been fitted in some areas to provide greater comfort.
- Some furniture has been removed to allow for extra circulation space and to avoid congestion and pinch points.
- The lift is to be used by maximum two people or one house bubble at any one time.
- Where possible doors will be propped open to minimise the need for people to touch door handles and to encourage better ventilation.
- Windows will be opened where possible to increase ventilation throughout the Club so please bring extra layers if required.
Dining and events at the Club
- The dining tables will be fully cleaned and sanitised between use.
- We have reduced our menu and some dishes have been removed to allow for the team in the kitchen to be socially distanced.
- Condiments will be single use, and disposed of once used.
- Port will no longer be passed during traditional dinners, but rather individual glasses poured.
- The Club is now operating a cashless bar.
- The CO2 monitor will be readily available on the first floor.
