Situated in a stunning riverside location with easy access to the Solent, the Royal Lymington Yacht Club is one of the world’s finest yacht clubs; the welcoming home of yachting, dinghy sailing and motor boating. We pride ourselves on our superb clubhouse and facilities, including our popular bar and restaurant.

A highly experienced host of events, including Opens, Grand Prix and National Championships, our dedicated team will assist you in organising your event both on and off the water. Our food and beverage partner will work closely with our team to ensure your event catering meets your exact requirements.

Our clubhouse is open 7 days a week. Our excellent facilities include:

• A rooftop bar, with fantastic views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight
• Bar and restaurant within the club, which can accommodate up to 170 people
• Private rooms upstairs for social functions (catering available)
• Changing rooms and showers
• Large rooms next to the pontoon for race meetings, training and briefings

We provide first-class race management:

• Qualified Race Officers
• A variety of course types can be set - from conventional beat-run-beat to round-the-cans, using both laid and fixed marks
• Sail in West Solent waters or Christchurch Bay
• National and International Judges for protest hearings
• Online entry system, with the club taking payment and administering the race entries
• Race results posted online
• Race documentation provided
• On the water Race Management
• Committee, Support and Safety boats provided (subject to availability)
• Support from RLymYC Sailing Team and our resident Boatmen

Accommodation for you and your boat:

• Convenient berthing options near to the club and the slipway
• A large public car park in front of the building
• A wide range of local accommodation within walking distance from the Club, including boutique hotels and B&Bs
• Camping is available in the New Forest (and occasionally closer to the Club)

Come to the beautiful town of Lymington!

Lymington provides a wonderful backdrop to your sailing event. The picturesque Town Quay and High Street are just a 10 minute walk from the Royal Lymington Yacht Club, with all the shops you could need. The famous Charter Market takes in the High Street every Saturday throughout the year. Two well-equipped chandleries and are just a short walk away from the club.

Located next door to the Clubhouse, the historic Lymington Sea Water Baths are open during the summer months for swimming and inflatable fun. Excellent walks around the Solent Way to Hurst Castle and Milford on Sea (known locally as the sea wall) start at the slipway, taking in the breath-taking views of the Lymington-Keyhaven Nature Reserve, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Lymington Town Station is 10 minutes from the Club and the Wight Link ferry takes car and foot passengers from Lymington to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. Find out more here.
