Looking to improve your racing skills, build confidence on the water or simply enjoy more time sailing? Join our Adult Race Training Club on Friday mornings for a friendly and supportive mix of coaching, practical exercises and racing.

Whether you're completely new to racing or an experienced sailor looking to sharpen your skills, our Adult Race Training Club offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your abilities, learn new techniques and enjoy time on the water with fellow sailors.

What to Expect

Our Friday morning sessions combine practical coaching with on-water exercises and practice races, helping participants improve their confidence and racing performance in an enjoyable, supportive environment.

Each session focuses on developing essential racing skills, including:

• Boat Handling: Improve your control, manoeuvring and confidence in different conditions.

• Sail Trim: Learn how to get the best performance from your sails.

• Race Starts: Develop your starting techniques and positioning on the line.

• Tactics and Strategy: Improve your decision-making and understanding of racing situations.

• Racing Rules: Build your knowledge of the rules and how to apply them on the racecourse.

• Practice Races: Put your new skills into action through friendly racing exercises.

Suitable for All Abilities

You don't need to be an experienced racer to take part!

The sessions are designed to welcome adults of all abilities, from those taking their first steps into racing to sailors wanting to improve their existing skills.

It's also a great opportunity to meet like-minded sailors, share experiences and enjoy being part of the Club's sailing community.

When: Every Friday

Time: 1100 – 1300

Members: £7.50 per session

Non-Members: £15.00 per session
